Bianca is an active researcher and lawyer with mixed background and interdisciplinary knowledge. She is originally from China, where she achieved her B.A. Degree in Law. She was then educated at University of Akureyri (Iceland) for Polar law LL.M degree, trained at Turku University of Applied Science (Finland) for aquatic ecology, and wrote her thesis at University of Tromsø (Norway) on law of the sea. Her LL.M thesis analyzes the implementation of precautionary and ecosystem approach in Arctic fisheries governance, with concerns on impacts of climate change. She is in pursuant of her second Master’s degree in coastal and marine management from Ísafjörður, Iceland.
Bianca has found her passion in ocean governance and fisheries management. Her researches have been focusing on Arctic marine environmental protection, biodiversity and natural resources conservation. She has also conducted researches on Arctic geopolitics, especially on China’s development of interests in the Arctic and Sino-Arctic relations. She currently lives in Tromsø, Norway, and frequently travels between Nordic countries.
