Doris studied Global Politics at the London School of Economics (LSE) and International Business Administration at the Vienna University of Economics and Business. She has been on academic stays in Norway, Czech Republic, Indonesia, Spain, and Costa Rica. During her studies, she was awarded the St. Gallen Wings of Excellence Award (2009), and the Dr. Alois Mock‐Prize (2011) for her diploma thesis. After gaining work experience at the Austrian Cultural Forum Prague, the Austrian Chamber of Commerce, the European Commission and Crisis Action, she recently went on a research trip to Svalbard for field experience. At the moment she is doing her PhD in Vienna. With a vivid passion for Scandinavia and the Arctic, her main research interests include cross-cultural communication, geopolitics in the North, and environmental governance.
